cropped-logoFebruary 4th – Each year to celebrate the opening of the museum, there will be a celebration. Authors and artists will exhibit their books and artworks. We will also honor the individuals who have made sacrifices and left behind an important legacy so that others may learn enjoy and move forward for generations to come.

June 19th – Juneteenth Celebration – On June 19th, 1865, the Emancipation Proclamation was signed ending slavery in America and we will celebrate every year. Come and enjoy the art, food, and events which will be held to remember our ancestors.

October – October is African American Art Month. To celebrate this, a new art festival will be held annually for the appreciation of local African American Artists. All types of artists from around the area will show and display their crafts. Poetry, Raffles and spiritual dance demonstrations will be held to display African American culture.
